Hi, I am Dave! I live with my two girls, 4 and 12, we have 1 gerbil and 2 cats, Crumpet, female, 12years old and Bob, male, 15 months old. On Thursday, 29th June at 11pm, Bob came home after a few hours out exploring, nothing unusual there, but this time he was limping. He seemed to have been hit by a car and his rear left leg looked injured. I managed to get him to a vets near by and they kept him stable for the night, the next day, it was confirmed he was very lucky and it was only his leg that was hurt, but unfortunately, the bone was shattered. I made the desicion to lose the leg and keep Bob. It obviously isn't that simple, but that's the long story short. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to afford to insure Bob as for the last few months I've struggled with my mental health and had to stop working until I'm strong enough. This has lead to no savings and a monthly struggle with mental health and money. Bob's care has come to just under £1300. For a cat, yes, he's worth every penny. Bob is a member of our family, we've had him since the day he was born and we want him to be safe and happy with us for as long as possible. This money would pay his bill out right and leave a little more for any further meds/food he needs whilst he makes his recovery. Any help would be gratefully received. We are currently borrowing money from family, but we have no way of paying them back quickly, so anything you can give to help make this time less stressful for the girls and I would be amazing Thank you for reading this far, if you can't help with a donation, please consider sharing this with any friends who possibly could xxx Love from Dave, Lottie and Autumn (and of course Bob!)
