In Loving Memory~ Anita Landers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2024, after a brief illness. She was 66 years old. Born on February 1st, 1957, Anita's journey through life was one of love, joy, and profound connections. On October 31, 1993, she married the love of her life, Jim Landers, and together they shared a bond that was unbreakable. Their marriage was a testament to the power of enduring love and unwavering support. She leaves behind her daughter, Brandy and two grandchildren that she raised, Airus Rose and Audrey Nicole. Anita's nurturing spirit and loving nature left an indelible mark on each of their hearts. Throughout her life, Anita called several places home, leaving her mark on the hearts of people from various communities. She most of her formative years in Galesburg, Illinois, where she created lasting friendships and cherished memories. She then moved to Cle Elum, Washington, where her warmth and kindness endeared her to those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Madison, Wisconsin became another chapter in her journey, where she continued to touch lives and make a positive impact. Finally, Anita found solace in the tranquillity of Zephyrhills, Florida, where she happily spent her retirement years. Anita embraced life with a contagious enthusiasm and an unwavering spirit of adventure. In the last few years, she embraced the beauty of Florida, exploring its pristine beaches and enchanting natural springs. One of her most cherished experiences was swimming with the manatees, an encounter that brought her immense joy and left an indelible imprint on her soul. Though I had the privilege of knowing Anita for just two years, she quickly became an integral part of my family. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant presence made her a cherished member of our lives. Her contagious laughter and genuine care for others created a bond that will forever be cherished. Anita's spirit touched countless lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, friends, and everyone who experienced her unconditional love and infectious joy. Anita Landers, you will be dearly missed, but your spirit will continue to shine brightly in our lives.
