UPDATE july 27th: LFEBridge goal has been raised to accommodate a new enclosure build for the 4th hybrid caught. We got a chance to see where she had been living and we just couldn’t leave her there. So instead we’re going to make it happen and build another enclosure ASAP! EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER: 4 wolf hybrids are to be euthanized if they are not moved to a sanctuary within the next few days. The owner had a stroke, was hardly able to care for them and then became ill, was moved to a ventilator and sadly passed away shortly after. We originally were contacted for 2 of the hybrids but came to find out about an elder male on the property needing help. Ends up, we have an elder female (Lyda) that needs some company. Just when we thought all was ready to go, we learned of a 4th that has escaped the enclosure and is loose on the property. So now we will be bringing up an experienced trapper and rescuer to join us so we can successfully get all 4. We have finished building one of our approved enclosures that we started. We moved fast and built the remaining enclosure within one day. We need to catch back up with costs expended but then get immediately into funding to leave for transportation, rental, crew costs, temp enclosure costs, immediate vetting, food costs and possible transportation for one of the animals from our sanctuary to another since we only truly have space for 3 currently.
