Hi, my name is Jordin. I am writing in regards to my little sister's passing. When my mom got pregnant, we were all really surprised but excited to have a little baby in the house. We found out it was a girl, she that she had down syndrome and later, that she had a complex heart defect. Nothing could have prepared us for what was next. My mom had to deliver her in Philadelphia, 2 hrs away from home because of the baby's condition. She started to have some complications so she left home a month early just so they could keep a closer eye on them. She was gone for 6 weeks until the baby was finally delivered. It had already been a long time since we had our mom but we were so happy the baby was finally here. Then, the cardiologist decided at the last minute, they were going to do the first open heart surgery at 2 weeks old. She was never able to recover since then. The doctors had no choice but to put her back in for her second open heart surgery at 7 weeks old. My mom stayed by her bedside every day all day long fighting for her until she was too tired and took her last breathe in her arms 1 day before 3 months old on July 12th. The fight was over. Now my mom is finally home with us after 4 months but is struggling really bad. I was hoping to try to raise some money for her to help with any cost with laying my little sister to rest, catch up on some of her bills she hasnt been able to pay and give her some time off of work to grieve this loss being this is the second child she's lost. I missed my mom and step dad but I would wait forever to take away their pain and have my sister here. Thank you for any help
