In Honor of Emory Tate, A True Chess Legend. The Gift of Chess is a 501(C)(3) charitable organization transforming lives through our universal language of chess. We are addressing the lack of chess sets globally by committing to distribute 1,000,000 chess sets globally by 2030. We distribute chess sets globally, leveraging chess as a low-cost high-impact opportunity catalyst, helping release human potential. Our key initiatives include education, prison, and refugee outreach. To date, we have produced over 75,000 chess sets for global distribution. Our goal is to distribute 1,000,000 chess sets globally by 2030. To date, we have donated 1,000 plus chess sets to Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, USA, Seychelles, South Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania. Each partner country has an assigned ambassador who is leading our micro distribution efforts (5 chess set gifts) across schools, orphanages, prisons, refugee camps, community centers and chess clubs. We have also gifted 100 chess sets to each country's recognized federation. We currently have 50,000 chess sets in Africa that are being warehoused in Ghana and Kenya. We hope to donate 1,000 chess sets to each African country within the next 6 months. Even though the 50,000 chess sets have been paid for, each 1,000 chess set distribution to a new country costs approximately 5,000 which includes the cost of shipping, customs, storage and a 1,000 budget for countrywide distribution. We have currently reached Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, USA, Seychelles, Somalia, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, and Tanzania. With your help, we can reach the rest of Africa. Chess is an incredible tool for social impact, empowerment and opportunity, unfortunately, there is a lack of chess sets globally.
