My dear brother, Adam Knull was a victim of alcoholism, depression, anxiety, and ultimately a victim of suicide. He passed away on 7-27-23, two days after his 39th birthday. We want to be transparent in order to try to save lives, even if it might be just one. Adam was a beautiful soul who was so kindhearted, generous, loving, intelligent, hardworking, funny, and a million other amazing qualities. Adam battled alcoholism for a very long time. He recently sought sober treatment and unfortunately relapsed and took his own life. His family was always present, calling, checking in on him. He always said he was doing well and he was always so very happy. We had no indicators that he was struggling with suicidal thoughts. The people who need us the most are the people who seem happiest. If your loved one is struggling from depression, addiction, or any matter, please seek help for them. They may not ask for help. They may be overly happy, unusually happy. This is a sign. We don’t have the answers, but we do know that Adam needed us to be physically present with him. He needed treatment. He needed professional help. Be present with the ones you love. We will miss Adam so very much. He was a gift to this world. The donations from this go fund me will be given to the The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake, Colorado. The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake is one of Colorado’s leading addiction and mental health disorder treatment facilities. Each year, their all-encompassing approach to treatment and ongoing care helps hundreds begin the lifelong path toward recovery. Thank you so kindly for your donations.
