My name is Alycia Potter, and I am the Producer behind my company’s latest project ‘A Stage Of Grief’, a psychological thriller showcasing the power of the mind and how it corrupts a young woman into a trance-like perspective. Creating a visual representation of the control, fear and stigma around grief is something that our team has personal experiences with and are very passionate to showcase respectfully. We’re aiming for a stylistic approach, our cinematic vision is to combine a homemade indie-film style with a grungy-vintage aesthetic. “A naive teen and her friends go camping, as night falls and in a childish attempt to restore their friendship they dare to play in the abandoned yard, complications arise when the game becomes real.” We have a trusted following of over 600 people through social media and have made many achievements along the way including winning the Norwich Film Festival in collaboration with the East Anglian Film Archive. Our team; the ‘Potter-Project’, began through a TikTok campaign reaching half a million people, which then expanded into a collaborative group of young talent from around the world wanting to break into the film industry. ‘A Stage of Grief’, has the potential to continue providing opportunities to those with limited access to the film-industry, and allow them to gain an invaluable experience by helping to tell this coming-of-age story exploring relatable themes such as the loss of friendships and loved ones. At this time of Pre-production ‘A Stage of Grief’ has a completed 57-page script, conceptual production-design art, a secured prime-filming location and a developing shot-list. We recently opened our auditions and have already received the interest of 210 people, a testament to our team's collaboration and ability to reach the masses. We’re confident in our array of abilities to bring ‘A Stage of Grief’ to life and plan to begin filming in August 2024, and would love to support our team financially however possible.
