Hello, My name is Junetta Harrell Taylor. I am asking for your support of my husband, Reverend Gregory D. Taylor, who was diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer on July 13, 2024. He is the former Pastor of First Baptist Church of Bladenboro, North Carolina. Gregory is also the former Moderator of the Lumber River Baptist Association. Gregory grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University in 1986, where he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. He is an Alumnus of The Interdenominational Theological Center’s Morehouse School of Religion in the class of 1991. He also earned another master’s degree in Southern History in North Carolina at East Carolina University. He served as an adjunct professor at both Community Colleges and four-year Colleges for several years. He is a devoted husband and father to our 15-year-old son, Evan. He founded Loving Hands Child Care Center. He was also its Executive Director for over 20 years. Currently, he is an Insurance Administrator for the Lawrence Jackson Funeral Home. Recently, Gregory successfully underwent a procedure to remove infected fluid from around his intestine that was perforated by a tumor. Praise God! I work in the healthcare profession and have some insight into the challenges as a result of cancer. And yet, I thank God for my faith and God’s grace, but I need your support to sustain us now. Reverend Taylor has spent his adult life serving the body of Christ. He has served faithfully in ministry for almost 40 years. He devoted his life to service others. Now, the Taylor family is reaching out to you to bless us with a monetary donation. People often say to me “If there is anything I can do, please let me know.” I ask that you take this opportunity to bless our family tangibly. We have found solace in the support and generosity of friends, family, and the church community who believe in the power of love and compassion of Christ. Your donation, no matter how big or small, can make a profound difference in our lives. With your help, we will be able to access the specialized antibiotic medications, treatment, travel, transportation and support we urgently need to ensure Gregory’s quality of life and make certain that he can navigate this challenging health crisis. Gregory has a resolve to fight the Good Fight Faith because he trusts in the Lord with his heart, mind, and soul. We appreciate your benevolence and help at this time. Any amount you are willing to contribute is greatly appreciated and if you are unable to contribute at this time, please share our story and request with your friends and family, it would be a blessing to us as well. “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask for or think, according to the Power that works in us, to Him be Glory…Forever and Ever. Amen” Ephesians 3:20-21 Junetta Harrell Taylor Laurinburg, North Carolina
