It is with devastating sadness and disbelief that I am asking for your help. On Friday July 21st 2024 an unexpected and unprepared for tragedy fell on the Doherty family. Steve suddenly left this world only months after my sister had received a devastating medical diagnosis. They were already facing an increasingly stressful and uncertain financial future, not ever really recovering from the pandemic lockdowns. Steve was not only an extremely talented musician, he was super funny, easy going, very accepting, genuinely kind and all around great guy. He was the love of Colleen's life, her true soulmate and the rock my sister could lean on for every kind of support. I know she would never ask for help, so that's why I'm asking. On top of already high medical bills, arrears utility bills from COVID-19 (with a shut notice delivered) food costs that are astronomical and children to feed, one of which requires intensive medical assistance and one who is in his early years of grade school, a car that needs to be replaced to get her and her children to medical appointments as well as a multitude of other bills. she will now have the burden of trying to honor the father of her children and the love of her life with a memorial service he deserves as well as funeral expenses. Never expecting something like this to happen this early in life, they didn't have life insurance to make any of this possible. I'm asking for any help to her and their children during this heart wrenching time in any way you can. If you've had the opportunity to know both Steve and Colleen for any amount of time, then you know that they both were the kind of people who would absolutely do anything and everything to help someone in need, even if there didn't have the means. They both were willing to give the shirt off their backs to anyone. it breaks my heart to have to ask for this kind of assistance. Any support you could possibly give them financially would be a true blessing, and if you're not in a position to donate financially please, I ask that you take the time to offer prayers for her to endure this crushing grief the strength to overcome this tragic hardship and the ability to see through the pain of the loss and to see the happiness that he brought to everyone's lives... Please I ask you to keep her, his family, and their children in your hearts and minds and prayers during this time
