Friday the 13th of August, 2024, my Father Nicholas Hales, a man who devoted his life to the Police Force for 31 years, took his own life after battling mental health problems for all too long. The aftermath of having someone you love take their own life leaves a mark on the heart that never leaves. With that being said, I am a firm believer that pain can always be turned into purpose, and from this tragedy, we now seek to do our part in providing tools, perspectives, and a range of different modalities to best support those in need. We are coming up to our annual 24-hour row to raise funds in which 100% of the proceeds will go to various causes/giving back expeditions.
