Donate to URGENT HELP REQUIRED FOR GREG SMITH, organized by Dan B

Hi I’m the sister-in-law of Greg Smith, Woy Woy, Central Coast. Greg is a much loved family member who has worked hard all of his life and is a loving husband and doting dad to 3 adult sons. Around 18 months ago Greg was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. Greg bravely took on the battle against this disease, including surgery and chemo. He fought hard and triumphed to come out the other side still smiling and still caring for others in his typical way. Greg has been unable to work in his previous role while sick and in the recovery stages from his cancer and chemo. He was just about to retrain so that he could return to work in a role less physically strenuous than his previous one, due to his ongoing recovery, when he was diagnosed with liver cancer about two months ago. Greg has since had major surgery to remove the cancerous growth in his liver and is due to begin 4 rounds of chemo on 1 October, 2024. Greg and his wife were about to carry out essential renovations to the home they had owned for over 20 years while they raised their family on essentially one income but unfortunately due to Greg’s sudden and unexpected first cancer diagnosis 18 months ago, when in his early fifties, this was not possible. We are planning a much needed home renovation from 10th - 21st September for Greg and his family to help them through this extremely difficult stage of their life. We want a safe, peaceful and comfortable home for Greg to be able to recuperate in as he heads into his upcoming chemo and post cancer/chemo recovery time. For all of Greg’s life he has been the first to drop everything and help others - family, friend or stranger - for no remuneration or reward - it’s about time we did something back for Greg - one of life’s true gentle gentleman, with a heart of gold for others. And always with a smile no matter what the circumstances. Please help Greg and his family with these very urgently required repairs to their home that have been quoted at more than $30,000. We have $20,000 ready to go - and the tradies are all working steadily every day now half way into this renovation process - with most at discounted rates because they are all eager to support Greg through his cancer battle. Planned and quoted renovations include a fresh coat of paint internally and cladding externally for the 2 bed cottage and backyard “Granny Flat” the family reside in, a restoration for their corrugated iron roof, rejuvenated and polished timber flooring, electrical work as needed, and any other interventions or repairs required, the cost of electrical appliances including oven, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, etc, throughout the home, and new furniture to living and dining as well as comfortable new beds and mattresses, and all other household items and needs. Plus a brand new turfed front and back yard complete with garden beds, vegetable patch, mulch and easy to care for plants. So that Greg and the family can enjoy their time together and support each other over the coming time ahead of chemo, etc. Please help Greg be able to recuperate from cancer and chemotherapy in an stress-free, worry-free environment all while knowing his family have a home in good repair and with all of their needs met. And please help his family be able to know that they have a comfortable and safe home for him recuperate in. We are in urgent need of contributions right now. Please help! Greg, Jen and their sons are very appreciative of any suppprt and messages. They are looking forward to the renovation and are away from the home at the moment on a much needed break while renovations are underway. Thankyou so much. Any donation, no matter how small, is so very much appreciated. Any surplus will be used for living expenses post renovation as needed. Read more

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website?

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website and How We Support Other GoFundMe Campaigns

At LFEBridge Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a platform where individuals and organizations can maximize their fundraising efforts. As part of our commitment to supporting a wide range of causes, we incorporate articles and URLs from GoFundMe into our website. Here’s why you might see GoFundMe content on our site, how it benefits the fundraising community, and our relationship with GoFundMe:

1. Amplifying Reach for Fundraising Campaigns

  • Increased Visibility: By featuring GoFundMe articles and URLs on our platform, we help increase the visibility of various fundraising campaigns. This additional exposure can attract more donors and supporters, helping campaigns achieve their goals more quickly.

  • Cross-Promotional Opportunities: Highlighting campaigns from GoFundMe allows us to support a broader spectrum of causes and connect with a wider audience. This cross-promotion benefits both the campaign organizers and potential donors looking for causes to support.

2. Supporting Campaign Growth

  • Advertising and Promotion: We understand the importance of visibility in successful fundraising. By showcasing GoFundMe campaigns, we provide an advertising platform that helps these campaigns reach potential donors who might not have discovered them otherwise.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with GoFundMe and featuring their campaigns on our site strengthens the fundraising ecosystem, ensuring that worthwhile causes receive the attention and support they deserve.

3. Expanding Donor Networks

  • Broader Donor Base: Featuring a variety of campaigns from different platforms helps diversify and expand the donor base. This means more people can learn about and contribute to a variety of causes, ultimately driving higher engagement and donations.

  • Enhanced Outreach: By integrating GoFundMe content, we help campaigns tap into new networks and communities, broadening their reach and potential impact.

How We Help Other GoFundMe Campaigns Grow

1. Featured Campaigns Section

  • Highlighting Noteworthy Campaigns: We have a dedicated section on our website where we feature noteworthy GoFundMe campaigns. This not only gives these campaigns a spotlight but also encourages visitors to explore and contribute to them.

  • Rotating Features: To ensure a diverse range of campaigns get visibility, we regularly rotate the featured campaigns. This continuous update keeps the content fresh and engaging for our audience.

2. Social Media Promotion

  • Sharing Across Platforms: We share selected GoFundMe campaigns on our social media channels to reach a broader audience. Our followers, in turn, can share these posts, amplifying the reach even further.

  • Engagement Strategies: Utilizing effective engagement strategies, such as storytelling and compelling visuals, we enhance the appeal of these campaigns, driving more traffic and donations.

3. Email Newsletters

  • Campaign Highlights: Our email newsletters often include highlights of impactful GoFundMe campaigns. By doing so, we bring these causes directly to the inboxes of our subscribers, encouraging more people to get involved and donate.

  • Donor Updates: We keep our donors informed about the progress and success of the campaigns they have supported, fostering a sense of community and continued engagement.

LFEBridge Foundation's Independence

It’s important to clarify that LFEBridge Foundation is an independent entity and is not part of or affiliated with GoFundMe. While we feature and support GoFundMe campaigns on our site, we operate as a separate foundation dedicated to collecting donations for various causes, similar to GoFundMe. Many of these causes are displayed on our website to provide donors with a wide range of options to support.

Conclusion

By featuring GoFundMe articles and URLs on our website, LFEBridge Foundation supports a wide array of fundraising campaigns, helping them gain the visibility and donations they need to succeed.
