Donate to Please Help Fund Long Overdue Surgery, organized by Kai Winters

Hi, my name is Kai! Im a member of a lot of online communities and the LGBTQIA+ community, i'm here trying to fund my surgery that I've been trying to get under the NHS but was taken off their waitlist multiple times. I was taken off due to not having anyone here with me to take care of me after the surgery was completed so they didnt want to do it as I would need assistance after it. I have only recently now had my partner come to live with me in the last couple of years, finally giving me my chance to get this done. If I was to go onto the waitlist again, I could be projected to be waiting up to 10 years from start to finish with how underfed the NHS now is. With there being a 4-5 year wait for just the consultation appointments. Due having already been waiting for 10 years, I've decided to try to open up a gofund me to finally get the surgery done privately in Europe. IN the UK it would be up to £10,000 to get it done privately, therefore im trying to keep the cost down by doing it abroad. Why? As mentioned above, I've been waiting 10 years and have been messed around for far too long by the NHS. I've lost faith that this would even get done within 10 years, in which I would be nearing 40. I've already had to deal with this issue for most of my youth and now that im almost 30, i feel a lot of the years have been wasted suffering from severe depression, anxiety and physical pain from dealing with this leading to unsavoury thoughts and actions that I will not disclose here as to make people uncomfortable. I want to get this done so I can finally enjoy the remainder of my 20's and all of my 30's. The constant depression and anxiety this brings me drives me mad, and im constantly jealous of those who don't have to deal with this, I just want to be happy within myself. Details Right now, the cheapest I could find for the surgery was from a very helpful friend who suggested going to Poland. As said at the start in the UK going private this would be up to £8-10000, that just isnt feasible. Going to poland would cut the cost down by half. This is where the money would go. Surgery Cost is £3400 The stay is projected to be up to £400 The flights will be £500-600 as I will be bringing my partner with me as I will need someone to assist and support me through the surgical prodecure and time spend in recovery there before heading home. £100 will go to safe keeping of our pets whilst we're away in boarding/ with a sitter per night per animal. £200-300 Will be how much it costs for a private health check as my family has a history of heart problems, therefore I will get a heart check done as soon as possible before this surgery. The remaining £200 will allow us to get supplies for recovery and include money to allow us to get food/drinks whilst we're there. This will bring the total to £5,000. Anything I can add myself I will. I'm trying to do as many commissions as I can right now to add to savings so I can add as much of my own money to this as I can. I have nothing to sell aside from my art, I dont have any items of worth to sell that wasnt the stuff I use to DO the art on. Therefore I can't sell anything to make the funds. I thank anyone who is kind enough to even just share this around, any help means so much to me and is really important to me so thankyou! Read more

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website?

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website and How We Support Other GoFundMe Campaigns

At LFEBridge Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a platform where individuals and organizations can maximize their fundraising efforts. As part of our commitment to supporting a wide range of causes, we incorporate articles and URLs from GoFundMe into our website. Here’s why you might see GoFundMe content on our site, how it benefits the fundraising community, and our relationship with GoFundMe:

1. Amplifying Reach for Fundraising Campaigns

  • Increased Visibility: By featuring GoFundMe articles and URLs on our platform, we help increase the visibility of various fundraising campaigns. This additional exposure can attract more donors and supporters, helping campaigns achieve their goals more quickly.

  • Cross-Promotional Opportunities: Highlighting campaigns from GoFundMe allows us to support a broader spectrum of causes and connect with a wider audience. This cross-promotion benefits both the campaign organizers and potential donors looking for causes to support.

2. Supporting Campaign Growth

  • Advertising and Promotion: We understand the importance of visibility in successful fundraising. By showcasing GoFundMe campaigns, we provide an advertising platform that helps these campaigns reach potential donors who might not have discovered them otherwise.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with GoFundMe and featuring their campaigns on our site strengthens the fundraising ecosystem, ensuring that worthwhile causes receive the attention and support they deserve.

3. Expanding Donor Networks

  • Broader Donor Base: Featuring a variety of campaigns from different platforms helps diversify and expand the donor base. This means more people can learn about and contribute to a variety of causes, ultimately driving higher engagement and donations.

  • Enhanced Outreach: By integrating GoFundMe content, we help campaigns tap into new networks and communities, broadening their reach and potential impact.

How We Help Other GoFundMe Campaigns Grow

1. Featured Campaigns Section

  • Highlighting Noteworthy Campaigns: We have a dedicated section on our website where we feature noteworthy GoFundMe campaigns. This not only gives these campaigns a spotlight but also encourages visitors to explore and contribute to them.

  • Rotating Features: To ensure a diverse range of campaigns get visibility, we regularly rotate the featured campaigns. This continuous update keeps the content fresh and engaging for our audience.

2. Social Media Promotion

  • Sharing Across Platforms: We share selected GoFundMe campaigns on our social media channels to reach a broader audience. Our followers, in turn, can share these posts, amplifying the reach even further.

  • Engagement Strategies: Utilizing effective engagement strategies, such as storytelling and compelling visuals, we enhance the appeal of these campaigns, driving more traffic and donations.

3. Email Newsletters

  • Campaign Highlights: Our email newsletters often include highlights of impactful GoFundMe campaigns. By doing so, we bring these causes directly to the inboxes of our subscribers, encouraging more people to get involved and donate.

  • Donor Updates: We keep our donors informed about the progress and success of the campaigns they have supported, fostering a sense of community and continued engagement.

LFEBridge Foundation's Independence

It’s important to clarify that LFEBridge Foundation is an independent entity and is not part of or affiliated with GoFundMe. While we feature and support GoFundMe campaigns on our site, we operate as a separate foundation dedicated to collecting donations for various causes, similar to GoFundMe. Many of these causes are displayed on our website to provide donors with a wide range of options to support.
