Help Baby Leilynn Heal Her Tiny Body and Bright Future Just three days after her premature birth, our sweet daughter Leilynn suffered a life-threatening collapsed lung. Although doctors rushed to save her, the insertion of the chest caused unexpected and devastating damage. Shortly after were hit with the heartbreaking news that the chest tube had completely destroyed her esophagus and that it was beyond repair and no hope of saving it. Due to this setback, Baby Leilynn has had to be fed through a feeding tube for the past 3 months and 3 weeks. But recently, a miracle has appeared in the form of a specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital who believes that her esophagus can be saved. He has given us hope with his expertise and Leilynn the chance to eat, grow, and thrive like any other baby. Leilyn has now been transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital, who have started the evaluations process for her complex surgery that could change everything. Leilynn has spent most of her life inside, away from the world, and has only briefly felt fresh air on her cheeks.
