The study trip shall cut across countries like Rwanda, Uganda & Kenya, these countries are experiencing rapid growth in the agribusiness sector. This study trip presents a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in real-world applications, gain insights from industry leaders, and forge invaluable connections that will enhance my academic and professional growth.
What I aim to Achieve
1. Learning from Innovators: I will visit farms, agribusinesses, and research institutions to learn about cutting-edge practices in crop production, livestock management, and Agro-processing.
2. Building Networks: This tour will provide me with the opportunity to build international networks with professionals, academics, and entrepreneurs in the agribusiness field. The tour will coincide with the African Food Systems Forum formerly known as the African Green Revolution Forum holding in Kigali, Rwanda. The conference is one of the largest Agricultural conference in Africa.
3. Applying Knowledge: The insights gained from this tour will directly enhance my MBA curriculum, allowing me to bring fresh perspectives and solutions to agribusiness challenges in my own communities.
4. Cultural Exchange: Understanding the cultural and economic context of East Africa will help me appreciate the global nature of agribusiness and prepare me for leadership roles in an interconnected world.
