Dear friends, family, and other kind-hearted supporters, I hope this message finds you all well. I am writing to humbly request your support during a challenging time in my life. Over the past few months, I have been confronted with unexpected and overwhelming medical expenses that have created a financial and emotional burden. Recently, I underwent the emergency removal of my gallbladder and appendix, and now I find myself facing another medical hurdle—repairing a hiatal hernia, pancreatic issues, and addressing complications caused by an unusual version of GERD. This unexpected journey has taken a toll on my vocal cords, leaving me with burns on my vocal cords and unexplained paralysis of some throat muscles, leading to dangerously irregular swallowing patterns (choking.) The medical team has identified the need for hiatal hernia repair surgery to restore proper functioning and possibly lead to the healing of my vocal cords as well. My cords should be paper white but have been burnt by acid to the point that I can no longer speak without pain for long periods, sing or play my instrument. As for the unusual paralysis of certain throat muscles: they are at a complete loss to explain it & hope the surgery will somehow help with that as well. The doctors are asking to perform still more exams and procedures to lock down what exactly ultimately needs to be done to cure me. They have finally decided to perform yet another surgery called Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Redo Fundoplication Hiatal Hernia Repair with possible Collis Gastroplasty (don't ask to repeat that, it tires me out just typing it, lol) It has finally been scheduled for beginning of July, with a possible move up to June 14th if an expected cancelation occurs. Despite my best efforts, the costs of past medical bills and the upcoming surgery are beyond my means. That is why I'm reaching out to you, my family, and community for help.
