Hi my name is Beth I am a mum of 5 my eldest McKenzie was diagnosed with portal hypertension when he was 7 years of age . From then on we have had 6 monthly and yearly appointments for endoscopies bloods you name it this boys taken it in his stride he was given some brilliant news last month that he was able to fly first time since his diagnosis so we booked him a holiday we were going this month . Backed his case we were all ready for the off … he had gained weight everything was looking good he was doing really well. Then the worst pain or anything that could happen to a parent happend to me McKenzie gained his angel wings on the 20.5.24 in the early hours of this tragic day my boy grew his wings in my arms in his bedroom we don’t no why we don’t no what happend or anything at present . He’d had a amazing weekend with his best friends his girlfriend and he’d been to the cinema with his sister the day before he was full of life a huge smile and a kind ear for any one he never failed to make people laugh and smile . I am trying to raise some funds for the people services that night that did everything in there power to save my little man these include critical care doctors paramedics air ambulance and all of the nurses staff in the children’s a&e that night it will never be forgotten what they did . I would like to give them a gift of donations how ever big or small to go towards keeping the bereavement centre for parents who have lost a child running as beautifully caring and thoughtful as they have been with me . They did everything from handprints hand casting lock of hair a memory box they were amazing . And to air ambulance the critical doctors paramedics and staff to go towards there medical equipment more vehicles more flights what ever they need .
