My friend and I fought the dogs off of her; they maimed us a little, but it’s nothing like what Dutchie endured. Her back tibia (leg bone) is broken in half and will have to get a nail (steel rod) to set it. She has several open wounds that will be stitched back together. I’m so glad her hip or spine wasn’t affected; for an old lady, it could have been really bad! The total is $6486, the remaining expenses are $3800. Any extra funds if it’s on the lower end will go toward an outdoor ramp so she can go down the steps easier. Dutch is my heart dog. I fully intend to do anything for her. Unfortunately, I’m at the end of my own leash financially. I just started a new job and won’t get paid until the end of the month.
