Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters, I’m reaching out with deep love and hope for my incredible daughter, Olivia, who turned 19 last month. Olivia is a beautiful young woman with special needs, and she brings so much joy to my life and everyone she meets. However, as she’s now legally considered an adult, she requires a guardian to ensure her well-being, health, and happiness. Unfortunately, this has become a long and difficult journey that I cannot navigate alone. For over a year, I have been fighting to secure the legal guardianship that Olivia needs. This journey has been filled with challenges, including a court hearing that took place without my knowledge, resulting in an unjust situation. Despite these obstacles, I have worked tirelessly to protect my rights as Olivia’s mother and to ensure she has the proper care and support she needs. I believe with all my heart that Olivia deserves to have both of her parents equally involved in her life. At this time, Olivia does not have a legal guardian. As her mother, I cannot stand by and let this continue. Olivia deserves to have someone advocating for her, making sure she receives the medical care she needs and the opportunities to live her best life. I am determined to be that person for her, no matter how difficult the path. I have already spent over $15,000 on legal fees, and while it’s been a financial burden, I will continue to fight for Olivia’s future. But now, I need your help. We have a mediation scheduled for next month, which is a crucial step toward securing guardianship. The total cost of this next stage is $5,000, including $2,000 for mediation and $3,000 for legal fees. This could finally be the turning point we’ve been working so hard for!
