Hallo lieve vrienden, familie, kennissen en iedereen die dit verhaal wellicht bereikt!
Zoals jullie allemaal weten, ben ik geadopteerd uit China en heb ik hier in Nederland een heel fijn en gelukkig leven. Toch blijft er altijd een nieuwsgierigheid naar waar ik precies vandaan kom. De wens om mijn biologische ouders te vinden is iets wat ik al langer koester en nu wil ik eindelijk de stap zetten om die zoektocht te beginnen.
Daarom heb ik besloten om in april 2025 een maand lang op zoek te gaan naar mijn biologische ouders in China!
Ik vind dit reuze spannend, maar tegelijkertijd kijk ik er ook ontzettend naar uit. Inmiddels ben ik al bezig met de voorbereidingen, zoals het regelen van vliegtickets en visum, het delen van een zoekposter op social media kanalen, etc.
De zoektocht in april zal met name emotioneel gezien een zware reis worden. Ik ben daarom vastberaden om deze reis maar één keer te maken. Het is alles of niets. Daarom wil ik er natuurlijk alles aan doen om het maximale eruit te halen. Of ik mijn biologische ouders vind of niet, na deze reis wil ik dit hoofdstuk voor mezelf, voor zover dat mogelijk is, afsluiten. Om mijn kansen in april zo groot mogelijk te maken, wil ik verschillende middelen inzetten, zoals het inhuren van een gids en chauffeur, het plaatsen van een krantenadvertentie of zelfs een radiospot. Alles om ervoor te zorgen dat ik geen enkele kans mis om mijn doel te bereiken: het vinden van mijn biologische ouders.
De zoektocht zal een maand duren en brengt natuurlijk hoge kosten met zich mee. Om echt alles eruit te kunnen halen ben ik op het idee gekomen van een crowdfunding actie. Het voelt een beetje gek om dit te vragen, maar na lang wikken en wegen heb ik toch besloten om dit te doen… Alle kleine beetjes helpen. Mocht je het leuk vinden om mij te steunen, dan zou een bijdrage, groot of klein, erg fijn zijn. Dit zorgt ervoor dat ik meer middelen in kan zetten om dichter bij het vinden van antwoorden te komen. Mocht je niet kunnen (of willen) bijdragen, dan is dat natuurlijk helemaal oké – je kan mijn avontuur in april volgen via Polarsteps, waar ik updates zal delen over mijn reis en mijn bevindingen. En als we elkaar na mijn reis weer zien, zal ik natuurlijk graag alles vertellen over hoe ik deze reis heb ervaren!

Hello dear friends, family, acquaintances, and everyone this story may reach!
As you all know, I was adopted from China and I currently have a happy and wonderful life here in the Netherlands. However, there has always been a curiosity about my origins and where I come from. The desire to find my biological parents is something I’ve cherished for a long time, and now I finally want to start this unknown adventure.
That’s why I’ve decided to go on a month-long search for my biological parents in April 2025!
I find this incredibly exciting, but at the same time, I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve already started preparations, such as arranging flights and visa, designing my search poster, and so on.
This search is something I want to do just once, and I want to make sure I get the most out of it. Whether I find my biological parents or not, after this journey, I hope to close this chapter for myself as much as possible. To maximize my chances in April, I want to use various tools, such as hiring a guide and driver, placing a newspaper ad, or even running a radio spot. Anything to ensure I don’t miss any opportunity to reach my goal: finding my biological parents.
The search will last for a month and will, of course, involve costs. It feels a bit strange to ask this, but after much deliberation, I’ve decided to do it… you never know. :) If you would like to support me, any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. This will allow me to use more resources to come closer to finding answers. P.S. The target amount may seem a little odd, but in China, the number 8 is considered a lucky number. If I reach my goal, I will donate the remaining amount to an orphanage in China. I will arrange this in consultation with Cor and Trudy, who took care of me at my second orphanage.
