Many of you may know that I visited Ghana last October and November 2023. It was a beautiful dream come true spiritual journey and a life changing experience filled with miracles and revelations each day. My plan is to return in the fall 2024.
The school is facing financial challenges that are hindering its ability to provide quality education and essential resources to its students. Without immediate assistance, the future of these children is at risk.
In order to ensure that every child gets the education they deserve, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the Bakpe DA Basic School Emergency School Fund. Your donation will directly impact the lives of these students by providing them with a safe and conducive learning environment, educational materials, and other essential resources.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in the lives of these children. Together, we can help the Bakpe DA Basic School weather this emergency and continue to educate and empower the children.
While there I had the opportunity to teach a master class at the Bakpe DA Basic School. There were over 120 children in class learning and singing. The primary aim of this visit is to contribute to the cultural enrichment and educational development of young minds through the power of music.
Many of the children are living in poverty and often face huge hurdles when it comes to getting an education. I envision a future where every child in the school has access to a safe, well-equipped learning environment.
Equitable, dedicated long-term funding for school infrastructure is needed to ensure all school buildings are safe and conducive to student learning. Through this GoFundMe campaign, we aim to raise funds to address the following
Repair and Improve School Infrastructure: Purchase much needed school supplies. This includes fixing leaky roofs, broke windows, and inadequate sanitation facilities, ICT laboratory, classroom block for the school and everyday supplies for the children

22. Produce a community fundraising concert, featuring mass choir with 300 children, a live band and special guest performers.
Attending school requires fees for teacher salaries, uniforms, books, school lunches and even the use of a desk. For families who already struggle to make ends meet, sending children to school is often not an option. Even if parents can afford the school fees, impoverished households often do not allow for study time due to lack of electricity, crowded conditions in the home, or the need for children to work after school to help support their families. Children might not have enough food to eat at home, therefore going to school hungry and ill-prepared for the learning
