The far-right riots and Islamophobic violence in August must be a wake-up call Stand Up to Racism has led opposition to the far right by organising protests and promoting unity. In Scotland, we have been involved in opposing the far-right in cities and towns, most recently in Glasgow where we decisevely thwarted the the Scottish far-right's attempts to regroup. We are not complacent and we think there is a lot of work to do. To do this, we need to increase our funds - organising travel to events, for example, is extremely expensive, and producing anti-racist materials that can be used in workplaces, education centres and communities across Scotland also costs money. You can support our work in may ways, but an important one is by donating generously to our funds today. These are some of the things your donations can help us achieve in the months ahead: - enable large numbers of Scottish anti-fascists to travel to the national demonstration against 'Tommy Robinson' in London on 26th October - mobilise anti-racists in support of the family of Sheku Bayoh, 'Scotland's George Floyd', as the public inquiry into his death in police custody draws to an end - take swift solidarity action if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election in November - spread the word for the trade union-led St Andrews Day Anti-Racism march and rally in late November - help organise anti-racist gigs in cities and towns targeted by the far-right and a major cultural event next year To make all of this possible, please consider donating today.
