We are Bukandula Animal Sanctuary, a registered animal rescue located in Mityana, Uganda. We are passionate about saving and protecting animals in Uganda and our vision is to see a world full of happy animals. Since 2020, we have been working hard to save animals in our country and we have managed to save thousands of animal lives plus the dogs and pigs at our shelter and we are only glad that you, our donors and friends, have done the most for us to keep on saving more and more as much as we may like. We are a team aimed at seeing the mission, vision and goals attained with love from the pawsitive community. Sadly, we have had to rent for all this time and we pay $400 every month for rent which is costly in the long run ($4800 yearly rent) but we haven’t had another option since we can’t afford to have our own shelter in full support for more and more animals. It’s sad for an animal rescuer to see an animal suffering on the streets and they can’t help. We have seen hundreds of animals die on the streets, mistreated, abandoned, abused, and neglected. That makes us more positive about having a fully functional animal shelter soon, it will be a dream come true to be able to save thousands of dogs every year from such cruelty and neglect but we can’t do this without you, your help is much needed and appreciated.
