Hi, I'm Carole and I run The Stockton Hedgehog Shed from my home. I cover the Stockton and Teeside area and I am mainly self funded with the odd kind donation. I have run the rescue for the past 2 years and last year was a baptism of fire with so many hedgehogs needing help. Hedgehogs, as you may know, are endangered and are really up against the odds for survival, mainly due to the actions of man. I am hoping to raise funds to rejuvenate an old hen run into an outdoor rehabilitation pen for the hedgehogs. This will enable me to house more hedgehogs and give them the space they need to acclimatise to the outside world before release. This is particularly useful for over winterers.
