Nicolás Garcia, a proud Pomo and Purépuecha indigenous community member, has been deeply involved in activism and advocacy for causes like Land Back, indigenous rights, and renters' rights for many years in Sacramento and beyond. Recently, Nicolás has encountered intense emotional and financial challenges that have reached a critical point. These struggles have unfortunately led to the loss of his employment, underscoring the urgent need for him to prioritize his mental health. Despite his unwavering dedication to activism, Nicolás has neglected his own well-being for far too long. Right now, we have a critical opportunity to support Nicolás to receive the support he needs. Our goal is to raise $12,000 to assist Nicolás through this challenging period so he can prioritize therapy. This goal includes $4,000 to cover his therapy sessions for a year.
