Hello there friends, my name is Anes Said and I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my family friend, Maram Abu Sharkh. I assure all donors that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Maram’s family. Maram will receive funds by direct bank transfer.
“I am Maram (29) from northern Gaza, mother of Adam (3 years old) and currently pregnant with twins. We live together with my husband, Magdy (34) and my mother, Aida (54). Before this war, we had many dreams, ambitions, successes, and a beautiful and colorful life.
My beautiful baby Adam, 3
On October 9th, we lost everything when our family home in Burj Al-Andalus was completely destroyed by the Israeli air strikes which reduced the residential Al-Andalus Tower to rubble and killed many innocent people. We escaped with our lives but were forced to flee with nothing, as all of our belongings and valuables including my ID card were lost in the destruction.
Destruction of the Al-Andalus tower, nothing remains of the tower or our home.
We went to Al-Shifa Hospital to seek refuge there, thinking this would be a safe place. But shortly after we began sheltering in the hospital, the worst happened. Al-Shifa was brutally attacked and besieged and many people were injured and lost their lives. My husband Magdy was among the wounded at Al-Shifa, here is the photo of when he was treated for his injuries at the hospital. It is in Arabic, but you can see where one doctor wrote in English regarding his injury.
Magdy’s injury at the besieged Al-Shifa
We fled again to the south, where we were displaced another seven times. We went to the beach camp, twice to Rafah, once to a relative’s home, back to the camps in Rafah, then Deir Al-Balah, and then Khan Yunis. No matter where we turn, we cannot find a safe place as there is no safety in Gaza. We have been living in a small tent in Khan Yunis for months now under extremely difficult conditions with scarce access to food and water, and no medicine.
The routes of our displacement
Every day that passes in Gaza, the bombings intensify and basic life necessities become more expensive. It is so hard for us to live in a tent, exposed to the heat and elements, and struggling daily to find food and water. I worry every day for my baby, Adam, and think of nothing more than protecting him. Adam needs milk, and my husband and I both desperately need medical treatment. Despite being pregnant with twins, I also have not been able to see the doctor or afford the nutritional supplements that have been prescribed to me. My mother also suffers from a herniated disk and cannot access treatment. I worry for our health and for the health of my child and unborn twins.

We are seeking donations to survive and improve the situation for me and my family. Our hope is to survive so we can evacuate Gaza to start a new life from scratch. We need $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child in evacuation fees, as well as money for food, water, medicine, and medical treatment while we try to make it until that time. The border has been occupied and closed to all Gazans since May. Our greatest hope is that we will keep our lives and health, raise the money we need, and be able to cross once the border reopens.

Immediate needs identified by Maram & Magdy:
Food and water
Health and medical care (pregnancy care for Maram, injury treatment for Magdy and Aida)
Nutritional supplements to support Maram’s pregnancy
Milk and age appropriate nutritious food for baby Adam (3)
Money for evacuation fees ($5,000 per adult (3), $2,500 per child (1): $12,500, unless Maram gives birth to her twins before evacuation, then $17,500 would be required to cross the border)
How You Can Help:
Donate: Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Maram’s family closer to having safety and survival
Share their story: Amplify their voice. Sharing the Abu Sharkh family's journey with your network can significantly increase the circle of support
Let us extend a helping hand to Maram, Magdy, and their children, to help them survive and rebuild their shattered dreams, in a world where hope prevails over despair.
Thank you for your kindness and solidarity, and for giving the Abu Sharkh family hope.
How the family has used and will continue to use donations:
So far, the family has raised enough money to cover some of their living expenses through a GoFundMe campaign. They have been able to purchase food and drinking water, as well as medical treatments for pregnancy-related illnesses. Please continue to donate, share on social media, and reach out directly to your loved ones. Although they have raised a small amount of donations, the borders remain closed, and the prices of food, water, and medicine are extremely high.
They plan to use the money for: Food, medicine, water, and setting up their tent, all of which are very expensive. Maram gave birth to two children in northern Gaza. Supporting Maram's medical needs. Continuing to purchase the necessities of life for her two children, her twins Elias and Mohammed, who are only a few days old. Her son Adam is also her son. Her husband is injured in Shifa Hospital, and this requires very expensive expenses. Rebuilding their lives by evacuating and paying for housing, or, if possible and safe, their home was completely destroyed by shelling. See previous updates.
