Hello I'm Ethan Powell and I have just qualified to be a member of the USA Wrestling-Ohio National Team. The team consists of the top Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers in the state in my age group. Selection to the team was based on the results of the recent USA Wrestling State Championships and past wrestling achievements. During the past several years, the Ohio National Wrestling team has done well in national competition. Over the years this team has continually placed in the Top 8 in the nation earning All-American honors. This year's team should be very strong, and our goals are to win the team title and have as many All-Americans as possible. We strive to continue a tradition of excellence for Ohio wrestling. The National Wrestling Championships will be held at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND, from July 12th to July 20th. I am also a part of the junior national teams for Greco and freestyle in Tulsa OK from June 19th to June 21st. I will be attending an intensive wrestling technique camp along with my teammates starting on July 5. In addition to this, I will be training throughout this spring and summer to better prepare myself for this event. These activities will consume a great deal of my time for the summer so that I can perform at my peak in Fargo. This is where you can help my dream become a reality. The cost for me to participate on the Ohio National Wrestling Team this year is $2800. Due to the extensive training I will be doing, earning this money in the short time period between now and camp will be difficult. Therefore, I am asking for a donation to help me out. Donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated. I believe that this summer's wrestling experience will go a long way towards helping me achieve my personal goals in wrestling and in life.
