Donate to Support Dennis' Road to Recovery, organized by Alisha McCann

My name is Alisha and Dennis is my Uncle! On 6-4-2024 Dennis underwent a Colectomy and was to be driving his Camaro shortly after - unfortunately the universe had other plans. On 6-6-2024 Dennis started to not feel well, they ran tests and did scans and within hours Dennis was rushed to his second of many surgeries/procedures. On 6-6 he underwent emergency surgery for internal bleeding - they were able to get that under control however that lead to 6-7-2024! He was moved to the ICU! On 6-7 Dennis was feeling no better and after more tests and a scan dye scan they determined he needed another emergency surgery, his colon was leaking into his abdominal cavity, he had an ileostomy performed. Dennis had issues the following morning with feeling sick to his stomach, the surgeon luckily was walking by and noticed the NG tube they placed was moved and no longer working right. With the help of his two nurses, they were able to pull the tube out 3 inches and instantly it started doing what it was supposed to do. This was the last of surgery at the first hospital however these next multiple days were nothing easy, during that time had multiple scares with Sepsis, reactions to not one but multiple medications, 5+ CT scans, he went into AFIB, they also found abdominal abscesses ultimately requiring a transfer to a second facility. On 6-15 he was moved to HSHS. On Fathers day 6-16, he had his first procedure at the new hospital where they placed 3 drainage tubes in the largest abscesses. This was a BIG day because he got to eat FOOD for the first time since 6-3-2024, 13 days! On 6-18 he underwent another procedure where they had to put him under anesthesia again (fathers day they did not have to) where they placed 3 more drainage tubes. He is finally on the right road to recovery and will need 3+ weeks of antibiotic infusions, continued labs and follow ups - once he gets to go home, as of now he is still in HSHS. With this surgery turning into multiple emergency surgeries, hospitals and procedures - it is coming with it's hardships. Dennis, because of the extent of surgeries, will be out of work for months. Cassie, his better half, has been by his side through this entire adventure, he quite literally may have had other issues if she wasn't there, she was his voice when he couldn't speak. Despite these two being together 15+ years, she does not qualify for special benefits while she has been off by his side. Please consider helping out this amazing man so his family has one less thing to worry about while he continues to heal Read more

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website?

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website and How We Support Other GoFundMe Campaigns

At LFEBridge Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a platform where individuals and organizations can maximize their fundraising efforts. As part of our commitment to supporting a wide range of causes, we incorporate articles and URLs from GoFundMe into our website. Here’s why you might see GoFundMe content on our site, how it benefits the fundraising community, and our relationship with GoFundMe:

1. Amplifying Reach for Fundraising Campaigns

  • Increased Visibility: By featuring GoFundMe articles and URLs on our platform, we help increase the visibility of various fundraising campaigns. This additional exposure can attract more donors and supporters, helping campaigns achieve their goals more quickly.

  • Cross-Promotional Opportunities: Highlighting campaigns from GoFundMe allows us to support a broader spectrum of causes and connect with a wider audience. This cross-promotion benefits both the campaign organizers and potential donors looking for causes to support.

2. Supporting Campaign Growth

  • Advertising and Promotion: We understand the importance of visibility in successful fundraising. By showcasing GoFundMe campaigns, we provide an advertising platform that helps these campaigns reach potential donors who might not have discovered them otherwise.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with GoFundMe and featuring their campaigns on our site strengthens the fundraising ecosystem, ensuring that worthwhile causes receive the attention and support they deserve.

3. Expanding Donor Networks

  • Broader Donor Base: Featuring a variety of campaigns from different platforms helps diversify and expand the donor base. This means more people can learn about and contribute to a variety of causes, ultimately driving higher engagement and donations.

  • Enhanced Outreach: By integrating GoFundMe content, we help campaigns tap into new networks and communities, broadening their reach and potential impact.

How We Help Other GoFundMe Campaigns Grow

1. Featured Campaigns Section

  • Highlighting Noteworthy Campaigns: We have a dedicated section on our website where we feature noteworthy GoFundMe campaigns. This not only gives these campaigns a spotlight but also encourages visitors to explore and contribute to them.

  • Rotating Features: To ensure a diverse range of campaigns get visibility, we regularly rotate the featured campaigns. This continuous update keeps the content fresh and engaging for our audience.

2. Social Media Promotion

  • Sharing Across Platforms: We share selected GoFundMe campaigns on our social media channels to reach a broader audience. Our followers, in turn, can share these posts, amplifying the reach even further.

  • Engagement Strategies: Utilizing effective engagement strategies, such as storytelling and compelling visuals, we enhance the appeal of these campaigns, driving more traffic and donations.

3. Email Newsletters

  • Campaign Highlights: Our email newsletters often include highlights of impactful GoFundMe campaigns. By doing so, we bring these causes directly to the inboxes of our subscribers, encouraging more people to get involved and donate.

  • Donor Updates: We keep our donors informed about the progress and success of the campaigns they have supported, fostering a sense of community and continued engagement.

LFEBridge Foundation's Independence

It’s important to clarify that LFEBridge Foundation is an independent entity and is not part of or affiliated with GoFundMe. While we feature and support GoFundMe campaigns on our site, we operate as a separate foundation dedicated to collecting donations for various causes, similar to GoFundMe. Many of these causes are displayed on our website to provide donors with a wide range of options to support.
