As we embarked on this journey to support foundational education in Nigeria and Africa, we are committed to ensuring that primary and secondary school students and teachers gain access to literatures and other educational materials produced by Africans. It is a fact that children aspire to what they see, feel and identify with. We are at a pivotal juncture in history with the advent of technology, the internet and now AI chatbot. How do we continue to organically generate, reproduce, preserve and protect indigenous knowledge? Is the world or has the world melted into a Metaverse where our actions are prompted by artificial engagement? These are some of the challenges we face collectively and globally. For BRG, we believe getting books written by African authors into the hands of African students from early childhood is an organic and critical pathway to reverse the dependency on social media and begin a fresh start where students can interact and begin dialogues in the real world and in real time. Further it'd would teach children to be critical thinkers and ignite their natural talents to be the best they are ordained to be. This is why we have selected "Things Fall Apart" for our 2024 Summer Reading. Achebe (1930-2013) was a renowned Nigerian novelist, poet, professor, and critic, best known for his pivotal role in African literature. His most famous work, "Things Fall Apart" (1958), Achebe’s first novel portrays the impact of British colonial and Christian missionaries on the Igbo community in Nigeria. It is considered one of the greatest African novels and a classic of modern world literature and has been translated into numerous languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide Achebe is known for his critique of Western literature's portrayal of Africa, most notably in his essay "An Image of Africa: Racism in Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness'," where he critiques Joseph Conrad's depiction of Africa and Africans. Achebe received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including the Man Booker International Prize in 2007. He is celebrated as a foundational figure in African literature and a voice for African perspectives in global literature. https://youtu.be/cEoO4yVtFng?si=IxoPzqOYHxSO8q9b Read more

Why GoFundMe Articles and URLs Appear on Our Website and How We Support Other GoFundMe Campaigns

At LFEBridge Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a platform where individuals and organizations can maximize their fundraising efforts. As part of our commitment to supporting a wide range of causes, we incorporate articles and URLs from GoFundMe into our website. Here’s why you might see GoFundMe content on our site, how it benefits the fundraising community, and our relationship with GoFundMe:
