Sponsor a Mexican street dog to help them find a home My name is Maria (if you're here, we probably know each other) and I am raising money to help find a forever home for 18 street dogs from Mexico. This fundraiser is in support of Hogar Temporal Mejoramigo - a local organisation and dog shelter in Constitución, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The people behind it have tirelessly worked in order to save hundreds of dogs from both the streets and emergency situations and provided them with food, healthcare and a safe place. However, unfortunately they do not have enough capacity to constantly take in street dogs and give them the loving home they deserve, which is why they have started a partnership with an organisation (Grubby Paws ) that helps bring these dogs safely from the Mexican border to a dog shelter in Oregon (Oregon Dog Rescue ) that finds them the forever home. Meet the dogs What is the fundraiser for? Each of these 18 dogs needs the necessary papers and vaccinations to be able to cross the border into the United States. The money is also used to feed the dogs until their journey to Oregon begins on 23rd May and of course for the transport to the border (after that, everything is covered by other organisations). The people volunteering and looking after these dogs in Mexico have put in so much hard work, love and a lot of their own money, so it was my birthday wish to do everything I can to help and support the people at Hogar Temporal Mejoramigo and fundraise as much as possible to help get these dogs a home!! Are you in? How it works: You can sponsor one of these 18 cuties for 600 pesos (32€/35USD/28GBP) or simply give whatever you feel comfortable giving towards the total! Completely up to you. If you choose to sponsor a specific dog, you will be the official sponsor and I will take that dog off the list.
