Help Me Save My Home! As private a person as I am, I find it difficult to be at this place in my life, but I’m truly at a point where I must share and reach out for help. Here’s my story… In November 2023, I was laid off; my second lay-off in a little over three years. My previous bout of unemployment lasted six months. This time around, it has been almost 8 months, and while I have been actively looking for a new position, I haven’t been able to secure anything yet. I know I’m qualified and have the expertise for the positions I’ve applied for, but something just isn’t working! However, because of these extended periods of unemployment, I have had to deplete all my savings and retirement accounts. And now, unfortunately, have fallen behind with my mortgage. I have diligently been trying to work out a plan with my mortgage lender but have not been approved for any type of modification because I have no income. While I understand the rationale, to a point, the fact remains that I am on the verge of losing my home! Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be here, and I will say that this has been one of the most humbling experiences I’ve ever found myself in. So, I come to you now with this request…PLEASE HELP ME SAVE MY HOME! To avoid foreclosure, I need to raise a sizable amount of funds to pay the past due mortgage amount before they proceed with the process.
