Donate to Secure a New Home for Fountain of Hope School, organized by Cheryl Pruitt

Hello! We are Steve & Cheryl Pruitt. Our support and involvement with Develop a Child Africa Ministries (DACAM), and its Director, John Mugowa, span a decade! There are many aspects to DACAM and the work they are doing in the Kampala, Uganda area and beyond. One of their ministry projects that has been near our heart is Fountain of Hope Learning Center. With the recent support and assistance from our dear friends Joselyn Rojas and Mason & Crystal Matthews, we have decided to re-invest into the the future of Fountian of Hope and launch this funding effort! Fountain of Hope exists to offer free-of-charge schooling, meals, some medical help, and spiritual guidance mentorship to the extremely poor children from the Katooga slums area of South Kampala. The school has an annual budget need of just over $70,000 to educate and feed over 160 children who simply have no other way to pay for private school, as there is no public education system in Uganda. Recently, Fountain of Hope was evicted from their rented school building after the landlord wanted to dramatically increase their rent. They could not afford the new rental rate. Our Funding Effort is targeting the school building facilities portion of their budget. We are targeting a $1,000 a month budget to rent a facility in the neighboring area of the slums where most of the children live and can walk to. We are looking for donations of any size to help assist with this effort. When you register as a donor, we will commit to staying in touch with the resulting success in our finding and funding a new facility, including photo and video updates of facilities, staff, and students, and a special invitation to update Zoom video web meeting with our friend John Mugowa live from Uganda.
