Hi friends! Sadly, our eldlerly neighbor who fed our feral cat community for over 30 years has moved suddenly, and no plan was put in place to care for them. I need your help to buy them dry food. This is Minnie Pearl, Grace's offspring The two cats I usually feed, Grace and Grey, have turned into four, then six, now eight or more cats have shown up looking at me with hunger in their eyes. Soon, more will be migrating down the hill. This is Grey If you live in the Northeast, you know how brutally cold it has been this winter. I cannot, in good faith, stop feeding these beautiful and sweet kitties. They are depending on me for food now. It's not the position I wanted to be in, but I'm knee deep in it now and I'm happy to help them as much as I can. But it's getting costly. Minnie Pearl, Grace, and Grey I also have two gentle and almost tame deer, Felicity and her baby, Tink, that rely on me for food as well. I go through two to three loaves of bread a day and a bag of carrots. Felicity and Tink Summer '24 I watched Felicity's other fawn, Klaus, die over the summer. It was awful as he struggled to breathe. Our bond grew closer after that. They utilize my acre of trees and grass as their refuge, safe from hunters and other dangers. And they know I will sustain them in winter when there is very little to no food to forage. So please, help me feed all these beautiful and sweet animals. My plan for Spring will be TNR's for the cats. That's $50 per cat to sterilize, vaccinate, ear clip and re-release.
