Donate to Mit Mousa, filtered Water Well, organized by Karim Kandil

Asalamu Aleikum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh, May Allah have mercy on your souls. We have embarked on an important initiative to construct a filtered well in Mit Mousa, a village in Egypt where the residents are currently drinking unsafe water, leading to numerous health issues. As reminded by our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in a hadith reported by Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah: "O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet replied, “Yes.” When asked, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.” (Source: Sunan al-Nasā’ī 3664). Every contribution to this well is a shared blessing, as every glass of water it provides will bring relief and health to the people of Mit Mousa. The Quran inspires us with these words: "... And whatever you spend in charity, He will compensate ˹you˺ for it. For He is the Best Provider.” (34:39). In a sahih hadith, Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.” (Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2588). Alhamdulillah, we have almost finished building the outer housing of the well, but to complete the well, we still need to acquire filters and other essential materials. I am organizing the fundraising efforts here in Austria and will ensure it reaches the team managing the project in Egypt.
