Hey everyone, if you don't know me, my name is Marissa. I am 25, I work as the Co-teacher in a Toddler classroom. Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet pay after pay and that has caused many things to fall off my radar. I have been so focused on paying off my apartment that my mother was staying in that I let other bills fall off. One of these being my car. As of 8/16/2024, my car is in active repossession. This is my only way to work, as I work an hour away from home. If I lose my car, I will most likely lose my job. This is a hard ask for me, I am not one to accept help easily. But when I break this all down in my head one thing stands, my twin girls. This is another part of my story, I have suffered from Post Partum Anxiety, Depression, and Psychosis. With this, I lost full custody of my girls. Me getting this car in October of 2023 was step one to getting visitation rights with my girls. I was able to maintain payments but I have been from job to job in the last year its been hard. That being said, I am 3 months behind on my car as well as 2 months behind on my car insurance. This current job I have has been integral to getting myself back on track as it has allowed me to pay several bills. I no longer have the apartment to worry about as the rest of the amount owed has gone to collections. My main focus is my car. If I can get back on track there, I would not need to continue with the repo or even my bankruptcy. I could move on to starting debt relief programs for my other debts and I could finally see my girls again. Thank you for listening to my story and your consideration. UPDATE 8/23/2024 I am now using legal help to go for chapter 7 bankruptcy. it's my best option and it's going to be my new start that I need. everything that has happened to me over these past few years will be erased.
