Hallo, wir sind Leonie und Katrin. Als Pflegestelle für Kätzchen von der Straße unterstützen wir ehrenamtlich das Tierheim Paderborn*. Einigen sind wir bereits unter dem Synonym HARMONICATS aus den Sozialen Medien bekannt. Dort teilen wir unsere Arbeit und klären über Themen aus dem Tierschutz auf. Bereits seit 2018 sind wir so zunehmend aktiv und haben unser Herz an die Arbeit rund um Katzen verloren. Die größte Herausforderung stellt dabei die sogenannte Handaufzucht dar. Frisch geborene Kätzchen ohne Mutter, die eine Betreuung rund um die Uhr benötigen. Neben der Fütterung die alle 2-3 Stunden erfolgen muss, spielt auch die Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit eine große Rolle. Babykatzen können ihre Körpertemperatur nicht selbstständig kontrollieren und sind in den frühen Anfängen massiv von der Mutter abhängig. Ohne diese hängt ihr Leben, selbst mit fachmännischer Hilfe, stets an einem dünnen Faden. Etwa bis sie 4 Wochen alt sind, schützt der Inkubator die Babykätzchen und maximiert ihre Überlebenschancen. Der wichtigste Punkt stellt dabei die konstante Raumtemperatur dar. Doch auch die Regulierung der Luftfeuchtigkeit sowie eine Reduzierung von Keimen und Bakterien spielen eine große Rolle. Wir bitten Freunde, Familie, Bekannte, Verwandte und für-immer-Zuhause unserer ehemaligen Schützlinge um Hilfe bei diesem Spendenziel. Jeder der ein Herz für Tiere hat ist ebenfalls willkommen, uns bei diesem Wunsch zu unterstützen. Gemeinsam können wir so einen weiteren Beitrag für den Tierschutz leisten und die Überlebenschancen künftiger Handaufzuchten radikal verbessern. *Wir als einzelne Pflegestelle, leisten in unseren Augen nur einen geringen Beitrag zum großen Ganzen. All das funktioniert nur, dank dem Tierheim Paderborn und dem bestehenden Netz aus helfenden Händen. Deswegen ist es unser Ziel ein solches Gerät möglichst effizient einzusetzen.
