IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Due to the current situation, increases in rent and the slow summer months, Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center of Pike County is in severe danger of PERMANENTLY CLOSING the doors to our current location of 510 Route 6 and 209, Suite 101 in Milford, PA.
Hello everyone!
My name is Natasha and I am the Owner and Operator of Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center located in Milford, Pennsylvania. It’s been a little over 4 years since I have opened the doors to Pike County Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center. A place where individuals with and without special needs can come together and create meaningful relationships! Currently, the Inclusion Center is focused on providing a safe space for individuals of ALL ages and abilities. Offering a space for party entertainment and incorporating various clubs, classes, activities, workshops and events with sensory stimulation, developmental, social and life skills along with an “out-of-the-box” approach to learning and having fun. We provide a space for families and professionals to work on goals and skills in an inclusive and social environment.
With the lack of resources for individuals with special needs, I’ve been working towards providing various activities and programs for our children, teens and adults within our community and surrounding areas. Creating a platform where each and every individual can thrive and flourish into their full potential. My core mission is to create a more inclusive and sensory friendly community for individuals and their families with special needs.
MY STORY...
My son Jovani was born on September 2, 2011. Becoming a mother has been my biggest blessing I could ever receive. The experience of having a child has been both the most rewarding and challenging aspect of my life. Being a single mother of a child with special needs, has taught me to take a step back and look at life from a different perspective! Since my son’s initial diagnosis back in 2019, I decided to put everything I have researched, learned and experienced into creating what you see today at Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center. Shortly after, I received my diagnosis of ADHD and my whole life started to make sense! Knowing first hand just how difficult and non inclusive the world can feel, I have taken all of my experiences along with the trials and tribulations of raising a child with special needs and combined them to create a much needed resource for our community and surrounding areas.
Throughout that time, I have learned just how important it was to create a "home away from home" where everyone can feel comfortable and safe; nurturing not only the individual but their family as well. As a parent I feel it is my responsibility to encourage our children and nurture them to become the best versions of themselves. Instilling morals and integrity, not only for themselves but for the people around them. I wholeheartedly believe in leading by example and being the change I wish to see in the world. Teaching children that they matter and their voice can truly speak volume. No matter what obstacle is before us, we have the power to lead with our hearts and the opportunity to make an impact in the world we live in today, tomorrow and in the future.
At that time, I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to start building my village and dream of inclusion. Bringing forth the vision to "bring unity to our commUNITY". October of 2019 I took a BIG leap of faith and started renovations, laying the foundation of an Inclusion Center in Pike County. Building that dream brick by brick while providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals of ALL ages and abilities. A space where EVERYONE who walks through my door feels welcomed, accepted and loved just the way they are!!! Not having much business experience, I decided to take it day by day and learn as I go; stepping blindly into the whole entrepreneurial status. Before I could complete renovations the Pandemic hit. Exhausting all of my resources while creating the facility, paying overhead and monthly expenses for the space left me completely depleted. The fear of having to close the doors to my business before having the chance to open them became a harsh reality.
To spite all odds, Pike County Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center would officially open its doors in April of 2020! Unbeknownst to me, I would embark on a journey of learning and self discovery. Going within and digging deep within my soul. Peeling back each layer, pushing through each and every obstacle or barrier that was in my path. Allowing myself to truly experience the meaning of inner strength and understanding of resilience. Determined to make a difference, I allowed my heart, passion and love for helping people lead the way! Taking in every experience (both good and bad) along with every trial and error as a learning curve.
For many of you that are familiar with my story know that my son Jovani has been my greatest teacher and inspiration behind creating and building Light Up The Spectrum Inclusion Center. In Spring of 2022 we started to move forward in creating that space for our tween’s, teens and adults by obtaining suite 102 within the same building that Light Up the Spectrum is currently in. The idea of Light Up the Spectrum Inclusion Center in suite 101 catering to the little’s and their families and Jovani’s Way… Never Leave Anyone Behind Inc. creating a space for our tween’s, teen’s and adults and neighboring the two, would be the start of a CommUNITY, Recreation and Wellness Center that everyone can utilize regardless of age and ability. By creating these spaces, it would allow individuals to interact, learn and grow with their peers while maintaining appropriate accommodations for everyone.
Unfortunately, that dream was cut short this past winter when we experienced a flood from a burst pipe occurring in the suite above us over the holiday season. Due to the timing and days that the Inclusion Center was closed, we walked into a flooded space with severe damages. Due to the extent of damages and property that was destroyed, we were devastated and uncertain if we would be able to re-open our doors again. With renovations taking more than 3 months and experiencing the interruption of business, we had to give up suite 102 and concentrate on rebuilding. Thankfully, knowing just how hard I worked on creating something for the community, my sister created a GoFundMe to help offset the utilities and bills during the closure.
Up until this point, everything has been out of pocket. At this point in time without the help and support from our community, we will be forced to leave our current location with no guarantee of finding something within Pike County.
I truly feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful commUNITY, I want to see if our supporters can offer assistance during this difficult financial time. As part of our commitment to supporting a wide range of causes, we incorporate articles and URLs from GoFundMe into our website. Here’s why you might see GoFundMe content on our site, how it benefits the fundraising community, and our relationship with GoFundMe:

How We Help Other GoFundMe Campaigns Grow
1. Featured Campaigns Section
Highlighting Noteworthy Campaigns: We have a dedicated section on our website where we feature noteworthy GoFundMe campaigns. This not only gives these campaigns a spotlight but also encourages visitors to explore and contribute to them.
Rotating Features: To ensure a diverse range of campaigns get visibility, we regularly rotate the featured campaigns. This continuous update keeps the content fresh and engaging for our audience.
2. Social Media Promotion
Sharing Across Platforms: We share selected GoFundMe campaigns on our social media channels to reach a broader audience. Our followers, in turn, can share these posts, amplifying the reach even further.
Engagement Strategies: Utilizing effective engagement strategies, such as storytelling and compelling visuals, we enhance the appeal of these campaigns, driving more traffic and donations.
3. Email Newsletters
Campaign Highlights: Our email newsletters often include highlights of impactful GoFundMe campaigns. By doing so, we bring these causes directly to the inboxes of our subscribers, encouraging more people to get involved and donate.
Donor Updates: We keep our donors informed about the progress and success of the campaigns they have supported, fostering a sense of community and continued engagement.
LFEBridge Foundation's Independence
It’s important to clarify that LFEBridge Foundation is an independent entity and is not part of or affiliated with GoFundMe. While we feature and support GoFundMe campaigns on our site, we operate as a separate foundation dedicated to collecting donations for various causes, similar to GoFundMe.
