My name is Josiah Solomon. I am a Los Angeles native, a young scholar, soccer athlete and guitarist. I am the third child of 4 and I live with my siblings and my parents, James and Lakeisha. My soccer journey began at 3 years old with Galaxy Indoor Soccer. From there I joined AYSO 1031, where I competed for several years. This prepared me for club soccer where I trained and played in highly competitive environments for 3 years. Last July my life changed forever. My parents and grandparents gave me the opportunity to travel to Europe with my club for the Euro Soccer Trips Experience. They sent me there because my dream is to play professionally in Spain. I had an amazing time, learned a lot and made new friends. While training with this awesome program, I was afforded the opportunity to join their residential academy. This meant I would live and train in Madrid full time for 10 months. My parents had 2 weeks to decide, and through prayer and family support I was able to join the Madrid Euro Soccer Academy from August 2023 until June 2024. The Madrid Euro Soccer Academy (MESA) is a well-established soccer academy in Madrid, Spain. They are supported and sponsored by Real Madrid F.C., and focus on developing the complete player. I had a full time professional schedule, continued my homeschool journey, and got stronger with my Spanish. I learned a lot about myself and I grew a lot too- spiritually, naturally and mentally. I ended the school year with a 3.68 GPA, and was accepted on a Spanish club team that is in the 2nd highest division for my age group: Ciudad de Pinto Division de Honor. This change was amazing for me, and a huge adjustment for my family at the same time. I have been invited back for a 2nd year and I would love to continue working toward my goal of representing my God, my family and my community as a professional footballer! I would appreciate your support in helping me to accomplish this goal, and I know that I will do my part with my work ethic, prayer, focus and determination. You contribution will contribute to my program cost, travel and student visa renewal. The program includes boarding, meals, studies, player development, transportation, my Spanish club tuition, all uniforms, travel kit, activities in Spain and so much more that has been factored into the program.
