Hi friends, My name is Johanna Musgrave, and I’m creating another album of word-for-word scripture songs designed to help you meditate on and memorize God’s Word with ease. It's called Steadfast. It seems like a ridiculously obvious statement, but memorizing God's word has empowered me to know God more deeply than I could have ever hoped. Knowing scripture has strengthened my faith, shaped my thoughts, and transformed my life. But memorization can be a challenge, and that’s why I write songs—to make it natural, enjoyable, and lasting. Why This Album? The songs on Steadfast are scriptures that have been lifelines for me in dark seasons—promises I’ve clung to and prayers I’ve whispered waiting for the sun to rise. These songs are quiet, reflective and tender. I've built many of them with extended instrumental interludes to cultivate stillness and meditation. Its been crafted for the weary evenings when the sink is still full, the quiet car rides after school drop, the long flights, and the hazy days when small tasks feel hard—music to help me (and anyone else) take God up on his invitation to "come and find rest" in Matthew 11.
