Congratulations to my amazing friend on her acceptance to the prestigious University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona's medical program in Jamaica! This is a dream come true for her, and we couldn't be prouder. As the daughter of a hardworking vendor, she has seen firsthand the impact of dedication and perseverance. However, medical school comes with significant expenses, and we want to support her in achieving her goals; the costs for tuition is roughly 16 million $JMD or $110,000 USD over the course of five years. In the past, she was awarded scholarships that aided in the completion of her undergraduate degree, While she will seek out more of those opportunities, they are extremely difficult to come by for a student in the Caribbean.
