Donate to Building Hope and Opportunity for Orphans in Uganda, organized by Kristen Rae

Dear community, This campaign is in support of Titus and Tinah Ssekawe. They run an Orphanage and Ministry, where Titus is a Pastor, in Kampala, Uganda. Tinah grew up in an orphanage herself, and Titus, whom she married 14 years ago, grew up on the streets of his home town after the death of both his parents when he was just three years old. As a husband and wife with four children of their own, they have taken on 40 orphans to raise over the past several years. They feel a deep soul calling to help orphans have their basic needs of food, shelter and education met, while also giving them a loving home and family. We have been supporting Tinah, Titus and the 44 children in their care for the past three years. In that time, with the help of our community, we were able to raise enough money to help them complete their home two years ago. They now have a stable home environment for the children, which has been a huge weight off their shoulders. Unfortunately they are still reliant on donations for food and medical bills, as their economy has been hit hard post-Covid, and they have not been able to secure work and income to support all the children yet. Tinah and Titus are in the process of completing a school for the children, and the local community. They had a donor help them build the structure of a school last year, but pulled out before it was complete. They're now left with a building shell, and a lot of work to be done before it can become the school they envisage it to be for their community. Once the school is complete, they will be able to take in local students whose families are able to pay tuition to cover the costs of the school, as well as give them the income they so desperately need to sustain their orphanage. They're frequently going for 3-5 days without any food what-so-ever, and have medical bills to cover every couple of weeks as different illnesses spread through the home. It's desperate times for them, and with your generous support, we can help them complete their school, educate their children, and earn a living to become self-sustaining once again as they were pre-Covid. Here are the words directly from Titus and Tinah on what completing their school will do for their orphans and community: This opportunity allows us to not only provide education for the children in our community but also support our orphanage and ensure that all the children in our care have a bright future. Additionally, being the only school in the area gives us the chance to create a strong sense of community and support among our students, parents, and staff. We can work together to create a positive and nurturing environment for all those involved in our school. We are grateful for this opportunity and will work tirelessly to make the most of it.
